This growing NZ born business is experiencing a period of exponential growth and as a result are looking to bring on board a Financial Accountant to ensure that the company delivers high quality financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Manager your key relationships will be with the executive leadership team, the board and external auditors. Your key responsibilities will be to:

• Ensure accounting standards are robust and accurately depict the company activities
• Prepare monthly reports for both internal and external parties
• Prepare fully complaint statutory accounts on an annual basis
• Prepare annual income tax workpapers for external review
• Reconciliation of physical stock to the management system and GL
• Asset accounting
• Supporting the finance team in supplier management and internal operations
• Educating the business on financial matters and policies

What you'll need to succeed
Personality is everything in this role and I'm looking for a real team player who is happy to get stuck in at all levels. You will ideally be CA qualified (please note that this is not an accredited employer though) and will have experience coaching and mentoring other team members. You'll be a clear communicator with the ability to manage key customer and supplier relationships and will also possess strong system skills including an advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
