We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Export Officer to join our prestigious client with its office based in Takanini. This is an extremely critical and integral part of the export department and a fantastic opportunity for someone who is up for the challenge or a change in their career.

Your new role
The Export Officer is responsible for the efficient day to day running of the Export department. Reporting to the Environmental Service manager, this role is to support the Export and Trading department.

  • Day to day running of the Export department in a smooth, cost-effective way
  • General Knowledge of Sea Freight & Container Transport
  • Mitigating Container Damages
  • Work with the Trading Manager to ensure that all sales are processed timely and to contractual obligations
  • Rail and Coastal movements
  • Processing imports in a timely manner
  • Strict control over outstanding debtors
  • Liaise closely with Branch, Trading and Compliance managers ensuring safe and proficient Export Operation

What you'll need to succeed
  • Customs Pin
  • Excel experience - intermediate user
  • Microsoft office suite experience
  • Ability to identify workable solutions in difficult and complex situations
  • Knowledge of New Zealand's Biosecurity requirements
  • High level of self-motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ideally from the transport, Logistics or shipping industry
  • Must be a resident or citizen currently living in New Zealand
