Your new role
The purpose of the role is to manage and analysis commercial contractual agreements to ensure terms are equitable for the company, and that key stakeholders are properly instructed on terms and expectations for both parties prior to contract execution and during the term of the contract. Provide commercial support with operations through facilitating continuous improvement of commercial processes. Work alongside the GM Commercial, SMT and other key stakeholders collating, writing and administering written proposals that articulate the company’s value proposition. Maintain the company’s customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to provide visibility of customer interactions and day to day running of the business.

What you'll need to succeed
• High attention to detail with excellent editing and proofing ability.
• Intermediate / advanced in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Has working knowledge of practices, laws and regulations relating to contractual agreements and the logistics / port industry (preferred).
• Organised and skilled at time management with the ability to coordinate and prioritise work, multitask and adapt to changing conditions.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules.
• Strong team player, with the ability to work autonomously and unsupervised.
• Exceptional personal standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to establish and maintain good rapport with both internal and external personnel at all levels to establish credibility and respect.
• A sound knowledge of and understanding of CRM and ERP systems.
• Demonstrates initiative and is self-motivated.
• Ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented.
• Analytical and research skills ability.
• Good literacy skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with KPI’s and using them to monitor and manage the operation.
• Sound knowledge of tendering process.
Relevant tertiary qualification desirable, such as commerce, management / business, law, communications, finance OR relevant experience with proposals and contract management.
• Minimum 3 years contract management experience.
• Minimum 3 years proposal / bid writing experience (preferable)
