5-month Fixed-Term Contract for an Administrator in Wellington's Public Sector

Your new company

This Public Sector organisation is committed to providing critical services to local, regional and national communities. They are seeking an Administrator to support two teams with their day-to-day operations for a 5-month fixed-term period. This is a great opportunity to take a step up into a higher-level Administration role in the Public Sector, as this position will have the chance to act as back-up support for Personal Assistants and Coordinators when required.

Your new role

You will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative assistance to the two teams, including but not limited to:

  • Diary management
  • Correspondence management
  • Meeting administration
  • Travel and accommodation coordination
  • Invoice and expense claim administration

You will be collaborating with other administrators and support staff across the teams and the wider organisation to deliver timely and professional support.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have previous experience in a high-functioning administration role and be confident taking minutes. You will have competency with computer programmes and technology, including proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and the ability to problem-solve technical issues such as Video Conferencing and presentations. You will be a team-player who collaborates well with colleagues, as a large amount of your success in this role will come from partnering with other administrative staff.
