Financial Accountant

Manage local accounting functions in conjunction with the AU finance team, ensuring processes are compliant

Your new role

This role reports to Sydney head office and is responsible for all NZ finance processes and compliance.

  • Manage Debtors
  • Assist in invoice processing
  • Inventory reconciliation
  • Payroll – Process Payroll for staff and journal the same.
  • Treasury – local cheque deposit in bank.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation
  • Sales analysis – Work with ERP support to improve current sales reports.
  • Process improvement – to analyse the current process and provide recommendation on improvement, once approved - work with the relevant team on improvement.
  • Fixed assets and Depreciation – Assist with Fixed assets stock take and stream line the process of recording and depreciating
  • FBT, GST, Deferred Tax Calculation, Income tax calculation
  • P&L Analysis
  • Prepare for statutory report
  • Manage external audit
  • Ad hoc


What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong excel - advanced level
  • ERP systems experience
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Strong process improvement skills
  • Excellent communication skills
