Office Manager

An exciting opportunity for an exceptional Office Manager to join a small friendly team in Christchurch.
Your new company
You will be working for a family – owned business created in 2007. It’s a leading supplier of mechanical workshop equipment in New Zealand. They hold great expertise and experience with the equipment on which the business has been very successful. They have built well established relationships creating a network of suppliers from across the glove.

Your new role
An exciting opportunity for an exceptional Office Manager to join a small friendly team in Christchurch. If you have a flair for numbers, commercially savvy and thrive in a dynamic and changing environment with outstanding organisation this could be for you. This role is a very broad and diverse role. You will be responsible for three direct reports - Junior administrator and two sales representatives. You will have a commercial understanding and be able to support at a high level to the Director.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Have a proactive approach to problem solving, with strong decision-making skills
  • Experience working with Quickbooks is desirable
  • Proven track record in all aspects of accounts: AP, AR, Payroll, Bank Reconciliations, monthly reports, costing and projections
  • Excellent organisational skills, working to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy, in a fast-paced changing environment
  • Competent using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience or knowledge of managing staff

Key responsibilities:
  • Complete all accounts
  • Prepare letters, reports/projections, by collating and analysing information
  • Diary, email, phone and travel management
  • Lead coach and support a junior admin assistant
  • Oversee the efficient and effective operation of the office
