Customer Operations Commercial Manager

We are looking for an experienced and detail orientated Commercial Manager to join Vodafone, providing dedicated support to the Customer Operations Director. You will deliver detailed and comprehensive commercial and COPS-wide programme reporting for the Customer Operations Leadership Team, the NZ Exec team and Board Members.

What will I be doing?

  • This role will see you pulling together complex and detailed information and data from various streams and compiling it into accurate, detailed and comprehensive reports on a weekly, fortnightly, monthly and quarterly basis.

  • You will be required to report on all commercials, including commercial; proposals, sizing up opportunities, summary of costs, and compile this information into a commercial story, showcasing value add, that is presented at board level..

  • Lead and deliver Director support for planning and financial performance, short-medium strategic/tactical assessment & recommendation creation

  • Drive execution of the Customer Operations strategic and tactical operating plans, identifying and framing opportunities

  • Support the Customer Operations Director in facilitating and driving the Customer Management team activities (e.g. weekly management team meetings, roadshows, off-sites etc.)

  • Provision of accurate CAPEX reporting to the Customer Operations director & review of all business cases prior submission


What will I bring?

  • Your communication skills will be second to none, as is your ability to take complex, detailed information and relay it in accurate, detailed, informative and engaging reports.

  • You must have substantial prior exposure to senior management up to and including board level, and experience communicating planning objectives and variances in performance with key stakeholders.

  • You will have a proven ability to take total ownership for central plan consolidation and governance, and have the ability and confidence to engage, work with, challenge and support Senior Leaders

  • You will be competent in financial and other KPI modelling, trending, root cause analysis and complex problem resolution, coupled with Extensive business case development and budget setting experience

  • Extensive business case development and budget setting experience with the ability to translate high level strategy into operative targets and cascading them down to all appropriate levels


This is a full time contract position, starting immediately through until 28th February 2020, and is located in Vodafone’s modern state of the art office in Takapuna.
